Those who hear will live.
John 5:25, “Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.”
The spiritually dead hear nothing; only by the grace of God are we able to hear the voice of the Son of God, to pass out of judgment, from death to life, so that no one may boast. He calls “Come to me,” to look to him and be saved, to receive the ultimate heart transplant: from a heart of stone to a heart of flesh, that we may be a people after God’s own heart. He calls me “Just as I am,” not as I should be; and he gives me the gift of his Holy Spirit as counsellor to empower me for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
We come thankfully before your throne of grace, to receive mercy in our time of need!
