He shall be your fear.

Isaiah 8:10-13, “Devise a plan but it will be thwarted; state a proposal, but it will not stand, for God is with us.” For thus the LORD spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying, “You are not to say, ‘It is a conspiracy!’ in regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, and you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it. It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, and He shall be your dread.”

There are many who are living in fear with the uncertainty of our economy. There are many proposals from politicians who think they have a solution to a particular problem. Fortunately, God is in control. Perhaps He will use the present political and economic turmoil to bring about great revival?

Lord, we pray first of all for our leaders, that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives. But most of all we pray for great revival to spread like a wildfire over all the earth, that You may find faith when You return!
