I have learned the secret.
Philippians 4:11-13, Not that I speak from want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Being discontent seems to be a way of life in our culture, and so much of it is a chasing after the wind. Paul shares the secret of true contentment in recognizing that it comes not from circumstances, but from “Him who strengthens me.” If there is any discontent left, can it be in wanting to know Him better each day?
Lord, I want to know You better each day, to be content in every situation knowing that You are the one who strengthens me.
