He always lives to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 7:22-25, … so much the more also Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant. And the former priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers, because they were prevented by death from continuing, but He, on the other hand, because He abides forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
He is not surprised by our need for help, for He knows us better than we know ourselves. It’s wonderful to know that we can come boldly to His throne of grace to receive His mercies that are new every morning. And even more wonderful to know that He is always there making intercession for us!
I know that I need Your help in ways that I cannot even fathom; thank You for Your intercession for me, Lord.
