Faith in Christ Jesus.

Acts 24:24-27, But some days later, Felix arrived with Drusilla, his wife who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul, and heard him speak about faith in Christ Jesus. And as he was discussing righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix became frightened and said, “Go away for the present, and when I find time, I will summon you.” At the same time too, he was hoping that money would be given him by Paul; therefore he also used to send for him quite often and converse with him. But after two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and wishing to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul imprisoned.

Even though Felix had “a more exact knowledge concerning the way,” he did not believe Paul. He was consumed with worldly gain, hoping for a bribe from Paul to gain favor with Him. Paul was in the grip of the Lord Jesus, not of Felix and he used every opportunity to speak of his faith in Jesus Christ. Do we look for every opportunity in every situation?

Help me to see every opportunity to speak about my faith in the Lord Jesus; give me courage and boldness to proclaim Your name in thought, word and deed.
