A great persecution arose.

Acts 8:1, And Saul was in hearty agreement with putting him to death. And on that day a great persecution arose against the church in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

There are those in other places in this world who live with this kind of persecution and who are also blessed to see the fire of the gospel spreading. Some are even praying that we would have the same conditions here. No one seeks to be persecuted, yet the gospel seems to flourish when it happens. May we ignite the fire of the gospel in the world around us!

Give us opportunities to bring the fire of Your gospel into the world around us, Lord!
