The men whom you put in prison.

Acts 5:25, But someone came and reported to them, “Behold, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!” Then the captain went along with the officers and proceeded to bring them back without violence (for they were afraid of the people, lest they should be stoned).

We find these amazing Acts of the Apostles, the sick being healed even by Peter’s shadow, the angel of God opening locked prison gates. The power of the Holy Spirit was at work, and they were bold enough to speak the truth to the people, even under the threat of prison. As the Lord moved in this time, the people “held them in high esteem.” Do we have the same boldness today?
