And yet God was with him.

Acts 7:9-10, “And the patriarchs became jealous of Joseph and sold him into Egypt. And yet God was with him, and rescued him from all his afflictions, and granted him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his household.”

Joseph had every reason to become discouraged and bitter, and yet he also had the dreams that God had given him of what would one day become reality. God promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us. No matter what trials and afflictions may come, we know that He is with us.

We need Your favor and wisdom in all that we do today, Lord!
