Sinning willfully.
Hebrews 10:26-27, For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain terrifying expectation of judgment, and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES.
It seems that I build my list of sin, thinking that I need to avoid those things, including areas where I struggle. What about those things that He asks me to do that I don’t want to do? Are those things separating me from Him? We live in an age that proclaims the grace of God, indeed that is marvelous. What does it mean to be trampling the blood of His sacrifice, insulting His spirit of grace? He has rescued me, am I willing to do what He asks me to do?
Give me the proper fear of You, O Lord, that makes me aware of all You have done for me and what You ask me to do. Help me, for I cannot do it on my own!
