Justified by faith in Christ.
Galatians 2:15-16, “We are Jews by nature, and not sinners from among the Gentiles; nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified.”
The amazing revelation to Paul and his clear perception of the good news of Jesus Christ enabled him to stand up even to Peter, who was afraid of those compelling Gentile to live like Jews. The good news is that Jesus Christ has done all that we need, indeed something no one else could ever do, and something the Law could never do. We are not justified by our behavior but by faith in Jesus Christ. What amazing grace!
We rejoice in the freedom that we have in Christ, for His “yoke is easy and His burden is light!”
