By what authority.
Luke 20:7-8, And they answered that they did not know where it came from. And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
We hear plenty of people today like these religious leaders who questioned the authority of Jesus. It ought to have been clear where His power and authority came from; as John poignantly wrote, the whole world could not contain the books that could have been written about what Jesus did. All we can do is to pray that God will continue to open the eyes of the blind and unstop deaf ears even has He has done for so many of us!
We thank You for Your wisdom that is far beyond that of any man; open the eyes and ears of those who are in such need of Your good news!
