Last year I was sitting in a Starbucks, trying to finish up some work when I realized there was someone next to me saying “Excuse me?” I hadn’t even noticed him until then, and he asked me “What is ‘confused?’” Well, this confused me, but then he told me he was new here from Kuwait and trying to learn English! Within a few minutes I had made a new friend, and suddenly he was sharing a very bad situation involving a predatory female coworker; I grabbed a 3x5 card and told him I was going to write down a word for his situation, I wrote: “RUN!” Another place Paul urges us to “flee immorality!” Are we ready to run, or looking into the face of an idol?
I need Your help, Lord, for I am reluctant to look for the way of escape from temptation that You promise me!
