The victory that has overcome the world – our faith.

1 John 5:4-5, For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. And who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

We who are blessed with the gift of faith are in a position to bless others by keeping His commandments. Since Jesus has overcome the world, surely He can help us to remember His commandments and to keep them so that others are blessed? When I am exasperated with my friend who goes on and on complaining and gossiping about our neighbors, can I trust that He will show me the way according to His commandments?

Help us to remember and to live Your great commandment, to love one another as You have loved us!
