A light of the nations.

Isaiah 49:6, He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations so that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

It is not just amazing that God chose to raise up a nation to call His own; as many have said, it is amazing that He would save even one person! And even more amazing and wonderful for us is that He would not stop there, but would carry out His promise to Abraham to bring forth His seed that would bring a blessing to the whole world. We can give thanks every day now for all eternity that He chose to bring His salvation to reach the ends of the earth.

Help us to recognize that we are not yet at the ends of the earth and to carry Your light into every dark corner, to the ends of the earth!
