Undistracted devotion to the Lord.
1 Corinthians 7:35, And this I say for your own benefit; not to put a restraint upon you, but 1to promote what is seemly, and to secure undistracted devotion to the Lord.
One of my teachers taught a message, mainly aimed at the large number of singles in our church who are in their twenties and thirties, to encourage them to see their singleness as a gift. He encouraged them to develop a servants heart and really seek to be devoted to the Lord, all of which would also help them should they be married some day. And in the process, he also challenged all of us who are not single to take Paul seriously in developing our own devotion to the Lord. He wants us to seek Him, for He is willing to be found!
We ask You to show us the ways that we can be more devoted to You, O Lord!
