All things originate from God.
1 Corinthians 11:11-12, However, in the Lord, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as the woman originates from the man, so also the man has his birth through the woman; and all things originate from God.
As Peter said, Paul writes some things that are hard to understand. Unfortunately there are few today who even want to attempt to understand. And there are even more all too ready to throw away any part of scripture that doesn't meet with their own feelings and beliefs. Paul refers us back to the origin of man, clearly told in the account of creation. Paul didn't invent this order; it is the way God ordained it. And we benefit tremendously when we take time to understand it well enough to put it into action. Indeed, Paul calls men to the life of complete sacrifice, even as Christ gave himself up for His bride, the church!
Open the eyes of our hearts, Lord; pour out Your wisdom upon us, that we may live in Your ordained order, to bring glory to Your name.
