Ask, and it shall be given to you.

Matthew 7:7-8, "Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened."

This is such a wonderful promise. We can take it in simplicity, knowing that He is always ready to give the Holy Spirit to those who ask for Him. What opportunities is he ready to open to our eyes when we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness? We know that He has sealed us with His Holy Spirit, and that He is our councilor and advocate. What blessings are available to us when we take time to ask and seek?

Purify our hearts; we look in expectation for all that You are going to do when we ask, seeking Your kingdom!
