First and last, our Redeemer.
Isaiah 44:6, "Thus says the Lord, the King of
Isaiah goes on to describe the act of idolatry, wherein a man fashions one part of a tree into something he declares to be his deity, and another part of the tree he burns to keep warm and cook his food! While we don’t see this form of idolatry today, there are certainly temptations to create other kinds of idols. Anything that man fashions has a beginning and an end, and is limited; not so with the Lord our God, without beginning, without end, He who is indeed our only hope, our Redeemer.
We place all of our trust in You, leaning not on our own understanding, and claiming victory with You as our Redeemer.
